Recently I noticed some nice FirstnameBlog.com domains come available. These make a great home for your blog if your name is already registered. Alternately if you have a hard to spell or remember last name, these make a great address for your personal page. If you already run a company and have a presence on the web, then a first name blog domain makes a great place to post your personal thoughts. First name blog domains are very rare and were mostly registered years ago. I comb through thousands of dropping domains to find names of value. The price I’m offering them at is a fraction of what you’d pay a consultant to help you brand your business.
These are firm prices.
BrendasBlog.com (102,000 exact Google matches for “brenda’s blog”) $500
KurtsBlog.com (55,000 for “kurt’s blog”) $300
KarlsBlog.com (Thanks Karl!)
DonaldsBlog.com ( 28,700 for “donald’s blog”) $300
StuartsBlog.com (46,600 for “stuart’s blog”) $300
DannysBlog.com (126,000 for “danny’s blog”) $600
Just Added (these recently became available 032210)
KentsBlog.com (131,000 for “kent’s blog”) $600
SusiesBlog.com (34,500 for “susie’s blog”) $300
BridgetsBlog.com (46,700 for “bridget’s blog”) $300
Includes both the Twitter and Posterous handle for each, i.e. twitter.com/brendasblog and brendasblog.posterous.com
I can also ‘point’ the domain to your current blog before transferring the domain to you (or any other simple tech support).
Transaction can be conducted through Escrow.com
You’ll need a (free) GoDaddy.com account in order to facilitate the domain transfer.

what a nice little racket you’ve got for
yourself.. John.. good thing johns blog is
not up for sale.. it would be so expensive.
….
thanks for thinking of me as a money girl
Hi Bridget,
BridgetsBlog.net or .org are available for registration fee. Help yourself.
That you might prefer the .com implies you understand the value of a great domain name.
Certainly if one is simply looking for a place to hang their personal thoughts
for friends and family, it really doesn’t matter what domain name you have. But if you’re
in a profession that does business with the public you need a name that is easy to remember
and that generates confidence. Domains are brands! The domains I have here are great
for someone who wants a personal feeling to how they do business.
If you were to hire a marketing consultant to help create your brand, $300 would buy you a
morning of their time. Really that’s what I’m charging for, my time. It takes a lot of daily name
crunching to catch a decent domain. I honestly feel these are great prices. Excellent value.
Another Bridget will be happy to discover the domain is even available for sale.
If I owned JohnsBlog.com it would never be for sale again.
Sorry if my little racket offended you and I sincerely wish you all the best with your design business.
John
