Looking into the details now it looks like it was a messy one, and I don&#039;t see the price paid- GetDropbox.com took the owner of Dropbox.com to Federal court to put the pressure on to get the domain. Bypassed the UDRP altogether. Dropbox.com domain owner bought it nine years before GetDropbox came along but because of GoDaddy parking, he ended up being sued for Trademark infringement. You make a really obvious point.  Why would you wait to buy something?  You prefer to buy a domain name when it&#039;s more expensive I guess...

The lesson I take away is just because you raised XX in venture capital doesn&#039;t mean always have common sense.  Foursquare forgetting to renew their domain name...Twitter using &quot;admin&quot; as their password.  The list goes on and on...</description>
